Purple Eagle is currently in development. The tools and experiences described on this page are planned concepts that would be developed in stages. Features, priorities, technical approaches, safeguards, costs, and timelines may evolve based on funding, research, professional guidance, legal requirements, privacy, security, safety, accessibility, technical feasibility, testing, and participant feedback.

Purple Eagle is being designed to make it easier for people to understand issues, contribute ideas, engage with others, develop stronger concepts, connect with people who may be able to help, take responsible next steps, and follow what happens afterward.
The planned experience is not intended to tell participants what they should believe or what outcome they should support. It is designed to create clearer pathways for constructive participation.
With newly planned tools, web and mobile platforms, dialogue programs, and connection to decision-makers, we will build and facilitate participation that leads to the constructive changes identified by participating communities and individuals. This country has needed clearer pathways for people to understand issues, contribute ideas, work with others, and take constructive action. Purple Eagle is being developed to help create those pathways.
One key note: Many people feel there is nothing we can do to make real change. Officials do not listen. Voting does not matter. The citizens are powerless. This platform was designed to reduce barriers to constructive participation and create more productive ways for people to engage across differences. We are designing Purple Eagle to be user-friendly, simple to understand, and follow trackable action.

Purple Eagle is being designed around a simple progression that could help someone move from learning about an issue to meaningful involvement and visible follow-through. Not every issue or participant will follow every step in exactly the same way. The pathway is intended to show how Purple Eagle could help turn interest or concern into more constructive involvement.
Purple Eagle is planned around four complementary participation channels. Together, they provide different ways to learn, communicate, develop ideas, and become involved.

Planned online tools could help people understand issues, contribute input, find useful information, connect with appropriate resources, and follow progress.

Structured conversations could bring together community voices, public officials, experts, leaders, organizations, and people with different perspectives.

Educational resources could help participants better understand civic processes, issues, institutions, leadership, and constructive participation.

Purple Eagle would help connect people, organizations, businesses, educators, volunteers, and community partners around responsible opportunities for involvement.
Purple Eagle’s long-term vision includes a collection of practical digital tools intended to make civic information, participation, communication, and follow-through easier to navigate. These tools are planned components of the Purple Eagle vision. They are not yet functioning public features, and their final design and scope will depend on development resources, technical feasibility, professional guidance, and testing.

Help users identify the elected officials who represent them and access verified public contact information. A future representative-finder tool could use location information, such as a user-provided address, to identify relevant elected officials. Any such feature would require appropriate privacy, security, and data-handling safeguards.

Creates a place where concerns and early ideas could be organized, discussed, refined, and developed into clearer concepts. Actionable change starts at the grassroots, community level. This planned tool could connect participants with issues, organizations, opportunities, and relevant information within their communities.

Make it easier to follow responses, milestones, changes, decisions, partnerships, and outcomes over time. No longer do we as concerned citizens have to wonder what the status is on an issue or decision. We hold transparency and information paramount to the platform vision.

We will design the Purple Eagle experience so participation can be accessible across computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

People have concerns about their community, and the country, but may not know what to do next. Purple Eagle is intended to provide a clearer process for moving from an initial concern toward a more thoughtful and developed concept.
Ideas could be informed by participant experiences, discussion, research, feedback, and collaboration before moving toward possible next steps.
Purple Eagle may eventually use interviews, public dialogues, leadership conversations, podcasts, and video discussions to help participants hear different perspectives, understand complex issues, and learn from people with relevant experience or expertise.
These conversations would be intended to inform and expand understanding—not endorse a participant, political party, ideology, or predetermined conclusion.

Purple Eagle does not assume that every concern should result in legislation, a campaign, or a new organization. Different situations may call for different forms of participation.
In some cases, the responsible outcome may simply be greater understanding or discovering that an existing solution already exists.
As always, a more informed citizen in a transparent system could result in more interest in voting. The vote is one of the most powerful tools anyone can use to spark real changes.
ANYONE! Purple Eagle is intended to create different opportunities for involvement depending on a participant’s interests, experience, organization, or community role.

Learn, contribute ideas and experiences, participate in discussions, volunteer, provide feedback, and follow issues or concepts that matter to you.

Share community knowledge, identify needs, contribute to concepts, support outreach, and collaborate with other organizations or participants.

Contribute subject knowledge, educational perspectives, research, professional experience, or guidance that can strengthen understanding and concept development.

Participate in community partnerships, provide expertise or resources, support responsible initiatives, and help connect ideas with practical opportunities.

Future communities may have opportunities to participate in structured testing, provide feedback, and help Purple Eagle learn what works before broader expansion.
*Submitting interest does not create a commitment or guarantee participation in a future program or pilot.
